A couple of polaroids I've taken in the last 3 months.

3 are from the Steve Aoki gig we went to the other night (with the Cobrasnake) and the others are from when Johnny Foreigner was gigging here in February.

For the Girls.

J.W. Anderson has produced his first women's collection. In an interview with Dazed Digital, the designer talks about how his men's line has always been influenced by femininity, so in this collection he sees women's wear with a masculine influence in mind, how men's clothes would fit a women. He translated his statement tartan wool jacket quite nicely into a snug girl's version. Luxe, relaxed and given a dash of gothic romanticism in a 90s, but very now sort of way.

Heavenly.

Breathtaking shoot for Vogue Hommes Japan by Hedi Slimane.

Hedi's work is always so stark, but it has so much emotion in it. Traces of Americana pop up in this shoot - something I'm getting rather into. Bleached denim, plaid checks, navy blue, reds, stars and stripes, leather biker jackets, college sweatshirts, Buddy Holly and a bit of early 90's grunge nostalgia thrown in for good measure.

Spring Break

Some lovely summery snaps from The Cobrasnake, while we go into winter, the north gets to be excited about summer :(

I'm loving Americana right now, and the dream-coat he's given the photos is terribly nice.

I think I will do this kind of 'inspiration' post more often. They keep me hopeful in a place where I don't get to see enough people dressed like this. (thanks Yvan Rodic & Fashion Canvas for the photos)
